I'm Jules, founder of The Conscious Concierge and a Real Estate Advisor with Coldwell Banker Vesta Group Costa Rica. I help people relocate, invest, buy, sell, build, and manage property throughout Costa Rica's Southern Zone with one guiding philosophy: every recommendation should be truthful, thorough, and thoughtful.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, I relocated to Costa Rica in April 2021 with my three daughters, our dog, our cat, a full shipping container, more than twenty bags, and a determination to create a different kind of life. I had never even visited the Southern Zone before making the move. I had no idea what I was in for but I was ready for the adventures, ups and downs included.
The journey hasn't been easy.
Within weeks of arriving, I was learning how to navigate Costa Rica's systems, culture, construction, contractors, utilities, real estate, and everyday life. I rented a handful of houses before purchasing my first home just three months after arriving, beginning a complete renovation while simultaneously learning the realities of owning property in Costa Rica. It was only a few months into my renovation that I jumped into the purchase of a twenty-acre property with plans to build a homestead.
Since those first few months, I've personally purchased, renovated, developed, managed, and operated multiple properties and businesses throughout the Uvita and Ojochal area.

What I've Built
Firsthand experience that can't be learned from a textbook or a two-week visit.
Along the way, I've transformed a 20-acre jungle property into an ocean-view homestead with hundreds of fruit trees and a professionally designed food forest. I converted a shipping container into a successful long-term rental. I developed climate-controlled storage units and private work studios. I founded a curated home and lifestyle store.

Before Costa Rica
Eighteen years of building and operating service-based businesses.
Before moving to Costa Rica, I spent more than eighteen years building and operating service-based businesses, working alongside executives, managing large teams, overseeing operations, and leading hundreds of employees and contractors. I've managed renovations, construction projects, property operations, customer service, and complex logistical challenges.
Today, that experience allows me to offer something much more valuable than simply helping someone buy a property.

I also work closely with homeowners and investors who need trusted local support long after a purchase is complete.
